Michael D. Tessler
With over two decades of wealth transfer/protection and managerial experience, Michael is a sought after resource by financial advisors all over the country. With experience in the home office and the field, his perspective and understanding of the life insurance business is broad. Today, Michael serves as the president at Brokerage Unlimited, Inc., a firm that assists financial service professionals with the implementation of wealth transfer and wealth protection strategies.
Michael’s articles and comments have appeared in Broker World, Life Insurance Selling, The National Underwriter, the St. Louis Post Dispatch and a variety of other publications. He has spoken to thousands of insurance advisors, financial planners, stockbrokers, accountants, etc. about various life insurance topics. He regularly shares implementation strategies with the advisors who work with BUI.
He served on the board of directors of LifeMark Associates, Inc., LifeMark Partners, Inc., the National Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors (NAIFA) - both the St. Louis Chapter and the State of Missouri, and the Life & Health Foundation for Education (LIFE). Michael was awarded the NAIFA-St. Louis 2008 Silent Hero award for service to NAIFA and the community and in 2009, Michael was honored by becoming the namesake for the NAIFA St. Louis Silent Hero award, now known as the Michael Tessler Silent Hero Award. He is a past president of Life, Inc., the past president of NAIFA-St. Louis and a past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies (NAILBA).
Gerald Tessler, CLU
Gerald, a pioneer in the brokerage business, has been working with industry professionals for over 40 years. His expertise in the impaired risk market propelled his firm into a leading position in the national brokerage market. Gerald received his BA, BS and MA from Washington University, St. Louis, MO. His primary responsibility is to facilitate the placement of impaired risk and specialty cases.
Izzy Myers, CLU, ChFC, AEP
With 40 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry, Izzy is a recognized authority and provides BUI advisors with advanced marketing case design and consultation. He frequently participates in joint meetings with clients and their team of professional advisors to discuss strategies and solutions.
Izzy holds the following designations: Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), and Advanced Estate Planner (AEP) designations, and holds an Advanced Estate Planning certificate from The American College.
Izzy is a past president (1989-90) of the Society of Financial Service Professionals – Greater St. Louis Chapter, and a past president of the Estate Planning Council of St. Louis (2004-05). He served as a Regional Vice President for NAIFA-Missouri and served on the board of directors for the St. Louis Chapter of the Financial Planning Association (FPA).
In 2005, Izzy was honored as “Insurance and Financial Advisor of the Year” by the St. Louis Chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA). He Hehas published articles in numerous insurance trade publications, has appeared on several financial radio talk shows, and has presented many CE approved seminars and workshops to large numbers of insurance and investment professionals on advanced marketing topics.
